أعلن الفنان والإعلامي تامر شلتوت عن وفاة والده صباح اليوم الأربعاء عبر حسابه على موقع فيس بوك ، وصرح أن تشييع الجثمان سيكون من مسجد الشرطة في مدينة 6 أكتوبر والدفن بمقابر الأسرة .
وكتب شلتوت قائلا : “”انتقل إلى رحمة الله تعالى والدي الغالي دكتور محمد شلتوت ..و سيتم الصلاه علي المتوفي بعد صلاه الظهر في مسجد الشرطه في ٦ أكتوبر..و سيتم الدفن اليوم الأربعاء في مقابر العائله بـ ٦ اكتوبر ..و العزاء في المقابر و لا يوجد عزاء في المنزل”.
وكان قد طالب شلتوت متابعيه منذ شهر تقريبا بالدعاء لوالده ، وذلك بعد تدهور حالته الصحية ودخل على إثر ذلك العناية المركزة بأحد المستشفيات ، ولم يعلن أي تفاصيل عن حالته الصحية .
وكتب وقتها على حسابه :”أنا والدي تعبان جدا وبقاله شهر في العناية المركزة.. وحالته النهاردة صعبة جدا.. أرجو من حضراتكم الدعاء له.. الدعاء يغير القدر”.
