أعلن الفنان أحمد مكي عن إصابته بفيروس كورونا المستجد Covid-19 ، وذلك بعد ثبوت نتائج التحليل بالإيجابية والتي أجراها داخل أحد المعامل الخاصة ، ويخضع حاليا للعزل في المنزل مع أخذ البروتوكول المقدم من وزارة الصحة .
وهذه الإصابة سوف تؤجل مشاهد الفنان أحمد مكي لحين شفائه من هذا الفيروس والعودة من جديد ، وحاول مخرج العمل بيتر ميمى تكثيف عدد ساعات التصوير للانتهاء من معظم المشاهد التي تحتوى على الأكشن، ووقع اختيار القائمين على المسلسل، على الفنانين إياد نصار وإنجى المقدم وأسماء أبو اليزيد ومحمد علاء وإسلام جمال وهادى الجيار وأحمد شاكرعبد اللطيف ورياض الخولى، إضافة إلى الاستقرار على أسماء ضيوف الشرف .
ويقدم مكي في هذا المسلسل دورا جديدا عليه تماما بعيدا عن الكوميديا ، فهو يجسد دور أحد الضباط المنشقين عن الشرطة ، ويقوم بعدها بالإنضمام لأحد الجماعات الإرهابية ، وتحدث بينه وبين كريم عبد العزيز العديد من المواجهات .
