وبدأت الواقعة عندما تواجد عز في أحد فنادق القرى الساحلية، وكان يجلس برفقة بعض الأصدقاء ، وعندما حاول التحدث مع أحد نجليه في بهو الفندق، لاحظته شقيقه زينة لتذهب وتصفعه أمام الجميع.
وكان عز في التحقيقات أوضح أن شقيقة الفنانة زينة وتدعى “ياسمين رضا” قامت بالاعتداء عليه،كما اتهمها بالبلاغ الكاذب ضده.
